Bloody Harvest Event Coming Next Month to Borderlands 3

Uncategorized Admin 0

While Nicola is busy getting stuck into Borderlands 3 for our full review, Gearbox has been showing off the game’s first themed event: Bloody Harvest. Debuting on The Borderlands Show on Twitch, the Halloween-themed event will have new weapons, environments, enemies and even its own boss. Check out the full episode here:

Every Borderlands 3 player can play Bloody Harvest when it launches for free next month, and it won’t be the only free DLC for the game. More themed events are planned.

If you have started exploring space aboard the Sanctuary III, you may find yourself encountering “Haunted” enemies. These are the key to accessing the event-specific map.

You’ll also want to be careful of coming into contact with the ghosts of fallen enemies, as they will hit you with the new Terror debuff, partially clouding your vision while weakening your attacks.

Once you’ve gained access to the Bloody Harvest map, you’ll face a host of new enemies such as the Rakk-O’-Lanterns, not to mention the Maliwan goons and a rather lovely Ratch-infested pit, complete with rivers of blood running through it.

Fight through all that and you will then come face-to-face with an enemy you might recognise. Captain Traunt, an enemy from the Borderlands 3 campaign, is back in a more skeletal form as Captain Haunt.

Of course, there are new skins for your Vault Hunters and their weapons, as well as more Legendary loot. I mean, what’s Borderlands without loot? There are also Anointed loot drops from Haunted enemies, with the chance of items having Terror-based properties.

And finally, The Borderlands Show confirmed the release date for Borderlands 2 VR on Steam, coming October 22nd.
