El Camino: The Breaking Bad Movie Gets First Full Trailer Showing What Happened After Show Ended

Two days after a new teaser for the Breaking Bad movie, El Camino, debuted during the Emmys, a full trailer has finally arrived. The new look at the Netflix original movie gives a good idea about what to expect from the project when it arrives on October 11.

The trailer picks up immediately following the events of the Breaking Bad series finale as a beaten and tortured Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) is on the run from law enforcement. Based on how the trailer plays out, the first person he turns to is Skinny Pete (Charles Baker). It’s Pete who calls on Badger (Matt L. Jones) to help their friend.

From there, we see Jesse on the run from a multitude of people attempting to capture him, along with a few nods to the events of Breaking Bad. Most notably, a photograph of Jesse’s former girlfriend Andrea Cantillo (Emily Rios) and her son Brock (Ian Posada).

For those that don’t remember, Andrea was killed in the show’s final season by Todd (Jesse Plemmons), to punish Jesse for attempting to escape the Nazi gang led by Jack (Michael Bowen). What became of Brock after the events of the show remains a mystery. Including an image of him in the trailer, though, could point to some manner of closure for that storyline.

While the full cast list for the movie has not been revealed, it’s been reported that more than ten characters from Breaking Bad will appear in the film. Of course, chances are Bryan Cranston won’t reprise his role as Walter White, given that viewers were left with the impression that he died in the series finale. However, a cameo in the form of a flashback or memory of Jesse’s wouldn’t be entirely out of the question.

El Camino premieres on Netflix and in select theaters on October 11.
