The Chinese Room’s Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture has received ten nominations for the BAFTA Game Awards, storming ahead of the next most-nominated titles The Witcher 3 and Her Story, which both received seven nods each.
Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture received nominations for Artistic Achievement, Audio Achievement, Best Game, British Game, Game Innovation, Music, Original Property, Story and two Performer nominees. CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3, which won many publications Game of the Year awards, is nominated for Artistic Achievement, Audio Achievement, Best Game, Game Design, Performer, Persistent Game and Story.
One of the year’s biggest critical success, Sam Barlow’s Her Story, also gained a total of seven nominations for British Game, Debut Game, Game Design, Game Innovation, Mobile & Handheld, Original Property and Story.
Fallout 4, Life is Strange, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Rocket League will join The Witcher 3 and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture in the fight for Best Game. Other notable titles, such as Bloodborne, missed out however: FromSoftware’s gothic RPG received only one nomination for Game Design.
