Nova Crystallis have reported that Final Fantasy XV will receive it’s first ever full unveiling this March, alongside the game’s release date announcement.
In a series of short interviews published in Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, director of Final Fantasy XV Hajime Tabata said: “This year is the year we’ll release Final Fantasy XV. Currently, we’ve decided on all of its specifications and the beta version is under production so we can shift into the debug phase. We’ll show the real XV during the release date announcement this March.”
Final Fantasy XV has been an enigma the past few months, releasing a demo alongside Final Fantasy Type-0 HD before being ultimately overshadowed by the announcement of the Final Fantasy VII remake. Square Enix have promised to release the game sometime this year, with Tabata saying in a blog post:
“We will finally release FFXV this year, in 2016! In development, previous phases required wisdom and strength. However, moving forward the final phase will focus on effort and willpower. We will do everything we can do to finish FFXV to create an experience we are incredibly proud of and one that you will enjoy and treasure.”
