Netflix Confirms Squid Game Season 2: "Absolutely"

Netflix boss Ted Sarandos has officially confirmed that a second season of Squid Game is on the way. During Netflix’s latest earnings briefing, Sarandos was asked straight-up if there would be a sophomore season, and he responded enthusiastically.

“Absolutely. The Squid Game universe has just begun,” Sarandos said.

Series creator, writer, and director Hwang Dong-hyuk has already spoken about Season 2, but this is the first time an executive from Netflix has gone on record saying it will happen.
