This April, NBC dives into the streaming service game with Peacock. And one of the original series coming to it is a revival of the classic ’90s comedy Saved By The Bell.

The lead role for Saved By the Bell may be played by Josie Totah (Champions), according to The Hollywood Reporter. She is currently in talks to play Lexi on the new series, the most popular girl at Bayside High who is a cheerleader and quick-witted. Her fellow students both admire and fear her.

This new series isn’t a reboot. This show will take place in present day Saved By The Bell continuity, and both Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley will be serving as producers on the show and reprising their roles. The world around them has really changed according to the logline for the show: “When California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the highest performing schools in the state – including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the over privileged Bayside kids a much needed and hilarious dose of reality.”

NBC’s Peacock launches this April, and there will be some original series–aside from content from NBC, USA Network, Universal Pictures, Dreamworks, Telemundo, and more. There have been talks for a reboot of The Office. However, aside from the Saved By The Bell revival, there will be a new Battlestar Galactica headed out way from Sam Esmail, the creator of Mr. Robot.
