Agatha surprised Wanda, revealing herself to be a villain instead of the nosey neighbor she’d been portraying. We’re hardly surprised, though, that the WandaVision earworm Agatha All Along has been nominated for a Grammy after being in our collective heads for so long.
Indeed, Agatha All Along, the surprise theme song for WandaVision’s surprise villain, received a Grammy nomination for Best Song Written for Visual Media for 2021. Noted by stat tracker account Chart Data on Twitter, WandaVision is the first television show to sneak into this category in eight years. Other nominees include All Eyes On Me from Bo Burnham’s Inside, All I Know So Far from P!NK: All I Know So Far, Fight For You from Judas And The Black Messiah, Here I Am (Singing My Way Home) from Respect, and Speak Now from One Night In Miami…
Notably, Agatha’s head bopper snagged one of three Creative Arts Emmy Awards for WandaVision back in September for Outstanding Original Music; the greater show won awards for Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes for the episode Filmed Before A Live Studio Audience, and Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Program (Half-Hour).
