On May 13, Jean Smart’s new comedy series Hacks premieres. The show follows a young comedian (Hannah Einbinder) who lands a job writing jokes for seasoned comic who works nightly in Las Vegas (Jean Smart). During the TCA winter press tour, Smart talked about Einbinder’s character. “Ava’s point-of-view is that if the masses thinks something is funny, then it’s not cool,” Smart said. “And if the masses like it, you know, if the people from Florida who eat at Panera like it, it’s not funny.”

If you couldn’t make it to the theaters because of the ongoing pandemic and missed out on Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, don’t worry because it’s arriving to HBO Max on May 1. Making more than $363 million globally, Nolan’s latest adventure bends time as the hero of the story–played by John David Washington–must find a way to stop World War III from happening. Essentially, Nolan’s latest film is a palindrome, and leans heavily into that idea. It’s a very unique movie, and the most unique way to watch Tenet is on a Game Boy Advance.
